Rafa Peletey is a french singer, songwriter, guitarrist and producer.
He studied music at the Conservatoire d’Issy Les Moulineaux (Paris) and at the Taller de Musicos of Madrid.
Besides producing different artists and being part of several bands of greatly different genres, played the openings for artists like Al Jarreau, Lou Reed, The Christians, and playing bass with Eric Burdon, he funded in 2002 the chill/electronica band Cloudfish, with Spandau Ballet’s Steve Norman and Bucks Fizz’s singer Shelley Preston.
Rafa Peletey have published numerous chillout/electronica works under different aliases (Bassofondo, Dotcom, La Mecanica,etc).
In 2003 he formed the band De la Peña with the legendary DJ Alfredo.
In 2010 he signs with the label Movin’ Sounds and release the EP A New Life.
Ghost in a castle, a second EP is released on november the 22th 2010.
In late 2010, he records with the band Ressonadors (Joan Barbé and Omar Gisbert), the song “Lluna pagesa”, published in “Ressona2″ the second album of the band, along well known spanish artists like Celtas Cortos, Javier Vargas (Vargas Blues Band), Carlos Segarra (Los Rebeldes), Gerard Quintana (Sopa de cabra) and Cris Juanico (Ja Tho Diré), between others. As a consequence of this joint venture, Rafa performs on several concerts of Ressonadors with audiences of more than five thousand people.
Currently, Rafa is working on his next album while giving concerts with his band, featuring his long time musical partenaire, guitarist Norberto Rodriguez (Habana Ensemble, Juan Perro), and the drummer Lucas Gimenez (Presuntos Implicados, Raimundo Amador, Lluis Llach).
